Aimlessly staring in space, no thoughts no action, inhaling deeply, letting go of the clogs and blocks in my mind and body, relaxing my muscles, emptying my congested Self with each breath out. Lightness of being. With my eyes close, I gently tilt my head towards the sky to soak in the sunrays, savouring and devouring each ray of light.

I remember the initial stages of my 2020 burnout, there was constant conflict between my need to be immobile and the deep anxiety that I must be functional. It was an enduring and painful act of crumbling to pieces, trying hard to gather them back only to crumble again. A non-stop action which went on for a month then came the glue but that is another story all together.

I had accepted the truth; brain fog has hit me hard. My body and mind had stopped responding to the fact that various tasks needed to be addressed, that clutter was building up, social media interaction was being ignored and worst of all creating art was a distant dream, a very hard-hitting reality. Everything lost its meaning at that moment. A question did cross my mind, how long will this last and will I be able to overcome it?
