i have a small story to share.
the year was 2019, this was during an art exhibition.

a lady walked up to me and asked, “why do you make such sad paintings?”
I told her, ” these are expressions of what i went through in my life”
the lady said, “but that is in the past, why would you want to be reminded of it every time you see it?”
i explained to her, “true, the past might come back but the experience will be different. Upon seeing the painting, you will probably ask yourself; do I want to go through that similar pain, do I want to put myself in that same situation, do I want to belittle myself again? No! I do not want that. Instead you will ask yourself – how would I have handled that situation differently, what could I do, in future, to avoid such an occurrence; which would make me feel proud of myself, standing firmly by my beliefs and principles, not allowing anyone to deride me, to create a healthy boundary for myself, to be brave, to be more aware!”
She nodded in agreement and understood the significance of what I said.

She did not buy any of my paintings, but she was able to interpret almost all of them.
She felt the echo.
